How do I get started?

Set your account balance, risk percentage, currency pair, and leverage in the global controls bar at the top. These values are shared across every calculator automatically. Then open any calculator from the toolbar and start entering your trade details — results update instantly as you type.

Which currency pairs are supported?

19 major and cross pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, NZD/USD, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, EUR/AUD, EUR/CAD, GBP/AUD, GBP/CAD, EUR/CHF, AUD/JPY, NZD/JPY, CAD/JPY, and CHF/JPY. Each pair uses the correct pip size automatically (0.0001 for most, 0.01 for JPY pairs).

Where do exchange rates come from and how often do they refresh?

Rates are sourced from Yahoo Finance and cached for 5 minutes on the server. On the client side, they refresh automatically every 5 minutes and when you return to the browser tab. You can also trigger a manual refresh using the rate chip in the global controls bar.

How accurate are the results?

All calculators use standard forex industry formulas. Results are as accurate as the underlying exchange rate data. That said, your broker may apply different spreads, commissions, or swap rates — always double-check critical figures against your broker before placing a trade.

What is a pip and how is pip size determined?

A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest standard price movement for a currency pair. For most pairs it is 0.0001 (the fourth decimal place). For JPY pairs it is 0.01 (the second decimal place). CalcYourTrade selects the correct pip size automatically based on the pair you choose.

What are the stop-loss and take-profit input modes?

Several calculators let you enter stop-loss and take-profit values as an absolute price, a number of pips, or a percentage of the entry price. You can switch between modes with the toggle next to the input field. The calculator converts your input to the other formats automatically.

Can I use more than one calculator at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click "Add Calculator" in the toolbar and select as many as you need. Each calculator runs independently but shares the same global settings (pair, balance, risk, leverage) so your numbers stay consistent across all of them.

Is my data stored anywhere?

Your settings and calculator state are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. No personal data, trade details, or account information is ever sent to or stored on our servers. We only collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to improve the product.

What does the "Incorrect?" link on result cards do?

If a calculation looks wrong, clicking "Incorrect?" sends us the exact inputs, settings, and output so we can investigate and fix the issue quickly. It helps us catch edge cases we may have missed.

How can I give feedback or request a feature?

Use the feedback widget in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You can rate your experience, choose a category (bug, feature request, or general), and leave a message. Every submission is reviewed and used to decide what gets built next.

Does CalcYourTrade work on mobile?

Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets. The sidebar collapses into a mobile menu, and calculators stack vertically for easy scrolling.
