Overview

CalcYourTrade is designed with privacy in mind. All trading calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not require an account, we do not collect personal information, and we do not store or have access to your trading parameters.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your settings — account balance, risk percentage, leverage, currency pair, calculator state, and theme preference — are saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is used solely to restore your session between visits. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics We Collect

We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to understand how the product is used and where to focus improvements. This includes:

• Which calculators are opened and used most
• Theme preference (light or dark)
• Feedback submissions — rating and category are logged in analytics; your full message and optional email are stored in our database so we can follow up
• “Incorrect?” reports — includes your global settings (currency pair, account balance, risk, leverage), calculator inputs, and the calculated output so we can reproduce and fix the issue

Analytics events are stored in a database with a random session identifier. We do not track IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or any information that could identify you personally.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic sources, geographic regions, and returning-visitor patterns. GA4 may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out by using your browser's cookie settings or a Google Analytics opt-out extension.

Third-Party Services

Exchange rates are fetched from Yahoo Finance via our server. These requests do not include any user-identifiable information. No other third-party services receive data about your usage.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The anonymous analytics we collect are used exclusively to improve CalcYourTrade.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics events and feedback submissions are retained for up to 12 months to support product improvement. After that period, data is permanently deleted. Local storage data on your device persists until you clear it through your browser settings.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to how we handle data, we will update this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
